March 12, 2005~~~ this is a very special date for me. I think not just for me but also for the other four girls I know. This is the day that we sealed our friendship. Actually, we were friends even before this day, but we officially gave a "birthday" for our friendship. So under that jack fruit tree in our school, we held each others hands as we create promises of sisterhood. We named our sisterhood JHELC, the acronym of our names, (Jaira, Honey, Ezra, Lilette and Chessca)...
We had a lot of good days and a lot of bad days too. We are too sensitive with each other's feelings so at the end of the day, we still remember our bond and make peace.^_^But those happy times are all in the past now. As we enter college, we took separate roads. At the beginning, we still manage to keep track with each other. Everyday texting and chatting about the events in our lives. But as the years passed, the bridge between us slowly fades in our visions. Until now, as our journey continues, we seldom see each other and even take time to peek from each other's lives. I don't know what had happened to us, all I know is that our attention was focused on more important things, I'm not saying that our friendship is not important, but we have responsibilities now that we need to take care of.
So, this blog is for them. And for the world to know them.....and love them like I do.^_^
JAIRA~~
She's the loveliest among us, I think. Her beauty is so feminine and simple. She has long black hair and an innocent eyes. Her life is full of drama but she bears it with smiles and love. She never complains though she learns how to fight for her rights. She may have chosen wrong decisions but she faced the consequences strongly. Her battle is not yet over and she still continues to fight...and that's what I admire from her.
HONEYMIE~~
Oh, this is Ms. Intelligent cause in the five of us, she's the most intelligent. Honey is as sweet as her name. She is sweet but a snob to others. She lives a simple life and is always away for competitions in our school. She bears the name of our school during Math contests and she's our savior during Math exams.^_^She's a little shy but also funny. She's mysterious sometimes and not very open with her problems. But she loves us and she's fun to be with.^_^
LILETTE~~
Hmmmm....this girl??What can I say, should I start with the good part or bad part?..Just kidding, anyway, I can say that this girl is the "Taray Princess". She snaps at you when she's mad and she'll say it in your face when she doesn't like what you did. That's how she is, she doesn't have "breaks" in her mouth. Sometimes she's childish that makes her annoying but she's the most thoughtful girl among us. Actually, until now, our communication is intact. Before, she always had problems with her boyfriends..(parang ang dami ahh..plural ang Bfs ehh..hehehe)..and until now she has. I don't know if it's really her or the problem is the boy. Anyway, I'm really hoping the best man for her who deserves her thoughtfulness and love.^_^
CHESSCA~~
And here she goes. The Lovely Mommy. Mommy not just because she has a baby now but because she is the motherly type among us. She's caring and sweet and very loving. When she loves, she really loves it more than anything. Sometimes, she just had trouble on choosing the right one but now, finally she settled for her number one. She is happily married now with one child who is the "little prince" of JHELC. She deserves this happiness and I'm still wishing her a happy life ahead with her own family now.
That's it! They are my sisters....my friends....and my family. No matter what and who we are right now, may our sisterhood be always in our hearts. If I will be given a chance to go back in time, I will never ever change that day that we sealed our friendship. And under that jack fruit tree.....the promises of our bonds will always be young. I love you bezties!!
